Q104 Future Voices Scholarship

The purpose of the Q104 Future Voices Scholarship is to provide scholarships to one deserving Kansas City area student each year.


  • 18-49 year old student in the Kansas City metropolitan area (6 county area: Jackson, Clay, Cass, Platte in MO and Johnson and Wyandotte in KS) who has a high school diploma.
  • Intend to continue your education at an accredited two or four year college, university or technical school.
  • Preference is given to full time students, however the minimum requirement is enrollment in 9 credit hours.
  • Minimum GPA requirement of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Consideration will be given to educational interest, perseverance, community service and financial need.

Current KBEQ employees and children of current KBEQ employees are not eligible to apply.

The winning student will be announced on the air by KBEQ.

Guidelines: Two scholarships will be awarded a year, once in November for the following spring semester, and once in July for the following fall semester. Scholarship is awarded in full for the amount of $2,500.
