Honeywell Black Achievers Society Law Enforcement Scholarship Fund

The Honeywell Black Achievers Law Enforcement Scholarship is in memory of Lt. Darwin DuPree, 2019 Kansas City Black Achiever. Darwin as a lieutenant at the Kansas City National Security Campus, managed by Honeywell and a former Kansas City Missouri Police Officer.

This scholarship is for a deserving African American student from the Kansas City area who plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, public safety or cyber security. The recipient of this scholarship should exemplify Lt. Dupree’s passion for helping others and strong character.

Students eligible for this scholarship shall:

  1. Be an African American high school senior or current college student
  2. Have a current unweighted GPA of 3.25
  3. Be pursuing a degree in either criminal justice, law enforcement, public safety or cyber security
  4. Live in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area (Jackson, Clay, Platte, Cass counties in Missouri; Johnson and Wyandotte counties in Kansas).

If selected the student must engage monthly with their Honeywell mentor.

This scholarship is renewable for up to 4 years.
