Supplemental Questions
  1. Are you a member of the BV Eastside Lacrosse Team?
  2. Chad Harrell’s nickname on the Blue Valley North Lacrosse Team was “Spark Plug”. That nickname was the impetus in naming the foundation created in his honor after he tragically took his own life in 2017 - Keep the Spark Alive Foundation. Chad’s lacrosse coach, Evan Hylok, described Chad this way: “This past lacrosse season (2017), Chad wasn’t just the most talented player on the JV team; it became blatantly clear that he was the catalyst for the team. How Chad went, the team followed. This was not just in terms of productivity on the field but more importantly, his attitude both on and off the field. Chad came ready to play and his “spark” of positivity resonated throughout his peers on the team. Even the coaching staff wasn’t immune to his infectious personality. Chad’s greatest contribution to Blue Valley North Lacrosse was not the goals he scored, or the assists he tallied. It wasn’t the ground balls he picked up or the turnovers he caused. Chad’s greatest contribution was his work ethic and the “Spark” he brought every time he hit the field.” Describe why these traits are important to you and your teammates, to your school and to your community. What have you done to be a spark for those surrounding you?
