John and Lorena Bestor Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Fund shall be to provide college scholarships to students with financial need. This scholarship is renewable for 4 years and will cover full tuition, room and board at an accredited 4 year university.

The students eligible for assistance shall:

  1. have demonstrated financial need (low or modest income will need to be verified in order to be eligible),
  2. have graduated from a high school in the KC metropolitan area, and
  3. be enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university.

There shall be no limitation on which college or university the student attends as long as the educational institution is accredited. Preference will be given to students with the greatest financial need. High school GPA will be used to differentiate candidates with equal financial need.

  2. Upload a copy of your parents' 2022 or 2023 tax form 1040, (page 1) or 1040EZ (page 1). Only upload YOUR tax form if you are considered an independent student by the school you are attending.
  3. Please attach your FAFSA Student Aid Index for the 2025-2026 academic year.
  4. Submit your college letter of acceptance.
