Monica Abbott Softball Scholarship Fund

The purpose of this scholarship is to award female athletes who have played high school softball and displayed leadership.

Students eligible for this scholarship shall be:

  1. Female athletes that are high school seniors, and played softball
  2. 2.7 GPA or higher
  3. Graduate from a high school in the Greater Kansas City area
  4. Displayed leadership, and provide a letter of recommendation from someone that can speak to their leadership

Applicants must provide a photo on their application, preferable a senior photo, headshot or softball team photo for use on the Abbott Athletics social media page if selected.

Supplemental Questions
  1. Tell us about your softball career. How many years have you played, what teams have you played for, etc.
  2. Describe a time when you demonstrated a strong work ethic and leadership, either in school, on the athletic field, or in another area of your life. How did you overcome challenges, inspire others, or go above and beyond expectations? What did you learn from the experience, and how has it shaped your goals for the future?
  3. Please provide a photo (senior picture, softball picture, headshot, etc.) - If selected this photo will be used for the Abbott Athletics Social Media announcment.
  4. Please provide your social media handles - if selected this will be used for the Abbott Athletics Social media announcement.
  5. Upload a letter of recommendation from someone who can speak on your leadership qualities.
